SMU Westcott Field, Dallas
Westcott Field is the home turf for both the SMU men’s and women’s soccer teams. Both teams began competing at Westcott Field in 1994. The grass facility was used as a training site during World Cup USA ’94, with teams from Germany, Bulgaria, Sweden, and Holland practicing there prior to their games at the Cotton Bowl.
In 2020 it was announced that SMU alum Ray W. Washburn committed $5 million to enhance the student experience and elevate SMU’s competitiveness by establishing the Washburn Soccer and Track Stadium which will begin upgrades on the old Westcott Field later this year. MoneyGram Soccer Park, Dallas
MoneyGram Soccer Park is a 120-acre, 19-field soccer complex at Elm Fork in Dallas. Managed by FC Dallas, the facility features 14 full-sized fields and five junior fields to provide areas for all age groups. The venue hosts various events on both the local and national levels and is a tournament-grade facility that allows the sport of soccer to continue its growth in North Texas. MoneyGram Soccer Park is often utilized by many national teams for training during friendlies, the MEX Tour, and CONCACAF Gold Cup matches.
Toyota Stadium Soccer Center, Frisco
One of the best and most unique soccer facilities in the world, Toyota Soccer Center is one of three US Soccer training facilities. The 145-acre multipurpose sports and entertainment facility located in Frisco is the home stadium for FC Dallas and hosts college football’s FCS title game, the Frisco Bowl, CONCACAF Gold Cup matches, and a variety of concerts, tournaments, and other events. Included in the facility is a 20,500 state-of-the-art pro soccer stadium and 17 tournament-sized fields. Additionally, the National Soccer Hall of Fame opened in Toyota Stadium’s south end in 2018 as part of a more than $55 million renovation to the facility which included new locker rooms and two new club spaces.
Ross Stewart Soccer Complex, Farmers Branch
Ross Stewart Soccer Complex is a soccer-specific facility that is home to the renowned Dallas Texans Soccer Club, an organization that has been rated as the #1 soccer club in the country, according to Soccer America. The facility features 6 professional-sized soccer fields composed of immaculately well-tended natural grass. The complex features an athletic training facility, a concessions area, and a clubhouse with offices, flat screen televisions, and rooms for hospitality. Continued additions are planned for the new facility including an upgrade to seating that will bring the capacity to 2,000 spectators. The facilities at Ross Stewart Soccer Complex are fit to host the highest caliber of soccer, and it makes an excellent site for regional and national events.
